Common Questions

  • With Palette Well-being, you have the flexibility to choose! Our platform supports both digital and traditional drawing methods:

    • On paper: Many users prefer the tactile experience of drawing on paper. Our app provides prompts and guidance, while you use your own art supplies to create.

    • On your device: For those who prefer digital art or need a portable option, you can soon use our app on your phone, tablet, or iPad. This is especially convenient when traveling or commuting. Reach out if you want early access ;)

  • Not at all!

Palette Well-being is designed for everyone, regardless of artistic skill level. Our focus is on the process of creating, not the final product. The exercises are meant to help you express yourself and reduce stress, not to create masterpieces. Remember, there's no "right" or "wrong" way to create art for well-being. It's all about the experience and how it makes you feel.

  • Absolutely! While Palette Well-being can be used individually, many users find it enjoyable to share the experience with friends. You can set up "creative dates" or painting parties with your friends or family members. Sharing your creative journey can add a fun social element and provide mutual support and motivation.

  • Yes, art therapy has been shown to be effective for many people. While Palette Well-being is inspired by art therapy principles, it's important to note that it's not a substitute for professional art therapy or mental health treatment. However, creative expression through art can help reduce stress, improve mood, and promote self-awareness. Many users report feeling more relaxed and happier after engaging in our creative exercises. If you have specific mental health concerns, we always recommend consulting with a qualified mental health professional.

Founders Story

14 years ago I lost a close friend and mentor, as a freshman in college, I was away from home. I had never experienced anything like it before, feeling lost and isolated. Back then, "mental health" wasn't a common topic, and I lacked the options I needed.

Fast forward to 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic amplified the existing mental health crisis. We saw more than half of millennials experiencing increased anxiety, depression, and burnout. Therapists struggled to meet demand, with an 891% increase in distress calls. Millennials were calling for new mental health options.

All of this signaled it was time for me to create a new mental health option: at-home art therapy and creative hobbies. That's how Palette Well-being was born. We're an app bringing expressive therapies, like Art Therapy, to the digital age. We offer creative exercises to help individuals feel better and reduce stress, all informed by validated therapies, practices, and professionals.
